The severe weather is over for now. We will now see temperatures warm into the low 90's over your Memorial Day weekend with little chances of rainfall. The next chance of rain and storms may come late Tuesday into the day on Wednesday ahead of a cold front that will bring down the humidity and bring temperatures back into the 80's towards the middle of the week.  Thanks for reading and have a happy holiday weekend!

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman has put the area under a moderate risk of Severe Weather today. The High Risk is not to far away in Indiana. The stage is being set for a major severe weather outbreak across the south central Indiana and southwest Ohio. Late this morning and afternoon we will see the development of single cellular storms across eastern Illinois, western Kentucky, and western Indiana. These storms will become more widespread throughout the afternoon into the evening hours and become more of line of storms by this evening and overnight. Read more »

We had another round of severe weather Monday evening and many lost power and there was numerous wind damage. We are getting set for another round of severe weather today and the best chance of seeing storms will be later this afternoon-evening. We could also see a few overnight storms again. Wednesday could be even more eventful with widespread severe being quite possible. Stay tuned here and facebook for the latest severe weather updates. 

The weekend went out with a bang with over 4.50 inches of rainfall since Sunday afternoon. This morning and the first part of the afternoon will be dry but thunderstorms will pop up later today and those storms could be severe. Those storms could produce strong winds, large hail and there is the possibility of tornadoes. May severe weather began with a bang yesterday with the city of Joplin Missouri being devastated by a F4 tornado and the death toll is near 100 now. The month of May started out calm but this week could be a historic week when it comes to severe weather. Read more »

The end is near when it comes to the cool and damp weather. We may actually see a few peaks of sunshine on Thursday and highs will finally make it into the 60's.  By Friday things will become even nicer with highs in the upper 70's.  This weekend looks nice with upper 70's and low 80's for highs and we will start have daily chances of thunderstorms. Next week the risk of severe weather will increase across the region. I will keep an eye on that! Thanks for reading!

We had a very unseasonable day across the area with highs in the low 50's over 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. Tuesday will be a repeat but we may have more in the way of showers around throughout the day. If we can make it through Tuesday by Wednesday things should start to warm up and may see a few peaks of sunshine. The end of the week will be nice but we will have slight threats of a few showers and storms but highs will get back into the 70's. 80's will make a return for the week but the threat of thunderstorms will increase. I hope everyone enjoyed the warm and dry weather we had over the past several days because we are going back into a very cool and showery pattern. Highs will only be in the 50's and 60's Sunday-Tuesday with on and off chances of showers. We will not see much in the way of sunshine over the next few days. Warmer weather should get back into the area as end the week and get into next weekend. I think the chance of showers and thunderstorms could exist through the weekend.
