The Monroe Optimist and The City of Monroe are bringing a Christmas Festival to the City of Monroe.

The First Annual Christmas on the Plaza is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8th, 2007 from 12 noon until 8 p.m.

We would like to invite the entire community to come and celebrate the holidays with us. The festival will be on Main Street and will consist of Food, Craft and Non-Profit Vendors. There will be a drop off booth for Toys for Tots and you will receive a raffle ticket for a gift basket for every new toy you donate.

Due to the planning involved in such a large event we are looking for volunteers to help with the details. Meetings will be held at the City of Monroe Building in Council Chambers on the following dates at 7:00 p.m.
