"Elvis" Performance to Benefit Veterans Scholarship Foundation
The Middletown Veterans Memorial Committee has begun scheduling several fundraisers to take place throughout this spring. The V.F.W. Social Center Post #3809, located at 6962 Coles Rd. in Middletown, will be rockin' and rollin' when one of their particular events entitled, "ELVIS LIVES", takes place on Saturday night, May 2nd. The show will involve not one, but two of the mid-west's top Elvis Presley tribute artists.
In 2003, local Elvis impersonator Bradley Scott performed at the same venue for the group. The success of that event, along with the overwhelming response from area residents, prompted the committee to ask if Bradley would return for another evening showcase to benefit their cause.
Scott didn't hesitate to agree, but also wanted to offer a different Elvis show this time around. "I am very excited to be able to help with this event. It's great to give back to the community that I grew up in." "To be able to provide something for all Elvis fans has always been my goal as a performer and a show producer. There are now more and more young Elvis fans. With this show, I wanted to put something together that presented a broader spectrum of the Elvis tribute that most audiences don't normally get to see." Scott decided to incorporate fellow Elvis performer Kavan, pronounced K-Von, to the evening's festivities.

Kavan will portray the early era of Presley's career. A fellow Ohio resident, he has been performing his tribute for 7 years. He has toured several locations around the country including England, and while there he garnered the BBC network's title of "World's No.1 Rock-N-Roll Elvis". Middletown native, Bradley Scott will reflect the Las Vegas and "Elvis In Concert" touring days of 1972 through 1977. Scott began his tribute in 1988 and has performed in some of the biggest events and festivals throughout the United States. He is considered as one of the top vocalists in the Elvis profession and was also a national finalist for "The Elvis Extravaganza" competition held in Laughlin, Nevada.
The event is set to begin at 7PM with the doors opening at 6PM. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Alpine Press, located on 618 S. Breiel Blvd., Middletown, OH. . The proceeds will benefit The Veterans Memorial Scholarship Program.
