Over 1100 students from across the state competed in the State Science Day held at Ohio State University in Columbus in May.
Eighth grader David Irwin received a Superior (perfect score rating) and was the only eighth grader in the state to receive a cash award.
Eric Stone also received a Superior rating, and Abbie Fierman received an Excellent rating.
