Monroe Historical Society Museums Open

Beginning Saturday May 21, 2011 both museums of the Monroe Historical Society, located at 2 & 10 E. Elm Streets in downtown Monroe, will be open to the public from 10am - 2pm on the 3rd Saturday of each month. Museums feature rotating displays and admission is FREE!

As part of the Saturday, May 21 opening day celebration, the Society will also be presenting a one-day-only Quilt & Flower Show with the Monroe Garden Club. Make plans to stop by and see the beautiful displays and take a walk back in time to old Monroe with a visit to the 1910 building or see our vintage fire engine! Information on joining both organizations will be available.

Tickets are now available for the 2011 Quilt Raffle. The Society’s final hand sewn quilt, “Amish Treasure”, to be awarded in December, will also be on display.
