The Monroe Historical Society's biggest fundraiser of the year is this Saturday, October 1 at the Garver Family Farm Market on Rt 63 & Yankee Road - our annual making of the apple butter!
The weatherman says it's gonna be a crisp, fall day. We'll have the fire going by 9am and the market opens at 10am. There will be free hayrides, lunch, the mobile Cone will be here with their yummy pumpkin ice cream (along with gold ole vanilla and chocolate), mums will be just $4.99, there will be fresh produce, lots of pumpkins and much, much more. We'll be there until 3-4pm - depends on how long it takes to cook.
Stop by and say hello and take your turn stirring the big copper kettle. We'll have another awesome batch available for sale along with no sugar added, too. Get it before it's all gone! Local historians say "It's dang good!"
