The Monroe Lending Library will receive a visit from trained therapy dog, Molly on Saturday, November 5th from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Molly, a golden retriever is the pet of councilwoman, Lora Stillman and trained to help children who have trouble reading. Kids can read to the dog, who provides relief from anxiety by not judging, critiquing or mocking kids who have trouble with reading.
Saturdays’ visit by Molly is something of a meet and greet. Children can meet the dog, find out more about the program and sign up for a reading time if they want to.
The Monroe Lending Library is located at 6 East Street in Monroe. For more information, call the library at (513) 360-0100.
