Saturday, April 7, 2007, the Monroe Lions Club will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Monroe Community Park. The Egg Hunt will start at 1:00 pm and will have three egg hunting areas based on age. There will be plastic eggs stuffed with candy and prize eggs with a coupon to be redeemed for cash. For safety concerns we do not allow parking in the large main lot, so be ready to park up at the Monroe Swim Club parking lot or in the parking lot on the southwest side of the main concession building.

Featured performers for the Monroe Lending Library's first concert fundraiser on April 16 are Cara Cover (voice & flute) and Heather Smith (clairnet). Both are members of the Monroe High School Band. Performances will start at 7:00 P.M. in the Libradry (behind Green Tree Academy, next to the School Board Offices) and dessert & coffee will be served afterwards. Feel free to stay and explore the library as long as you like. A five dollar donation is suggested per attendee.
