What could be better on a crisp fall day than the smell of sweet cider in the air?

Join the Monroe Historical Society on Friday\, October 23rd from 4pm - 6pm at 10 E. Elm St in the rear of the Chickahominy House Museum for the peeling and coring of the apples. Bring your own peeler!

We need you again Saturday\, October 24 from 8am - 4pm at the log cabin in the Community Park on S. Main St. for the cooking\, stirring and canning of the jars.

Bring the kids and some games for them to play as the adults tell "\;Tall Tales"\; of Monroe. This will be a perfect opportunity to stop by and meet the nice folks who make up the Monroe Historical Society. We will be happy to pass you the giant spoon for a turn at stirring! Refreshments will be served.

Apple butter will be available for $4 a jar at Monroe'\;s annual Christmas on the Plaza event\, November 21\, from 10am-6pm at the 1910 Building and the Log Cabin.
