Monroe Lending Library Book Project Needs Submissions

Request for Submissions Monroe Lending Library is accepting essays for a fundraising book project. The library would like your stories of history, friendship, community and the love of books that represent the spirit of the Monroe Lending Library. We have a unique library with a unique history, volunteers and members that we’d like to share by compiling your stories into a book. Our library is a true community that is almost like family. We have a laughter and smile quotient that can’t be equaled. We need your stories to show the world just how special our library is. Think Chicken Soup for the Library Soul kind of stories. Story Starting Ideas: Fun at the Quarter Auction Children’s Story Time A Funny Thing Happened at the Library Book Fine Excuse Book Discussion Group Tales Stories of Friendship The Book that Changed Me All submissions should include your name, address and email address. Essays should be between 300 and 1000 words in length. Essays may be edited. Because this project is a fundraiser, we are unable to pay you for your essay. You will have your name in print and the gratitude of the Monroe Lending Library.
