Pet Food Needed - Can You Help?

The recent community food drive is over (THANK YOU MONROE for making this a HUGE sucess!) and all items have been delivered to the Shared Harvest Food Bank, PAWS of Middletown and Animal Friends Humane Society but...

We have since learned there is a huge need for pet food at the New Life Vineyard pantry in Hamilton (which services all of Butler County) and Franklin Area Community Services which serves Warren County.  Reach Out Lakota also accepts and offers pet food for West Chester & Liberty Township residents. These are the only pantries in our area that offer help for needy family pets.

This ministry was made possible with the added space in the church due to the construction of our new family life center.
For more information, or to suggest a family that may benefit from the clothes closet, please call 513-539-8245 (answering machine at the church), 513-313-1293

Bethlehem Village December 12 & 13

The Monroe First Church of God will recreate the sights, sounds and activities of Bethlehem 2000 years ago for its regionally-acclaimed Bethlehem Village. The walking tour through the village is free and open to the public.
Upon entering, visitors will be given a few “shekels” to purchase small items from the many shops in the village. The potters, tent makers, bakers, leatherworkers and many other tradespeople will be happy to share information about their crafts.
Visitors may also encounter shepherds with their animals, Roman Centurions, and perhaps a beggar or two along the way. Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus can also be found in the manger.
Hours are from 5-8 p.m. both nights. Since this is an outdoor event, please wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. More information about Bethlehem Village is available at www.monroefirstchurch.com.
